A comment about my color palette changed my whole approach

Someone on this forum said my fantasy landscapes looked 'too safe' because I always used the same muted blues and greens. I started using a color wheel to pick one bold, contrasting shade for each piece, like a bright coral sky. Has anyone else gotten a piece of advice that pushed them out of a creative comfort zone?

Tried watching 'Neon Genesis Evangelion' after hearing it was the best anime ever

I sat through all 26 episodes and the End of Evangelion movie, and honestly, I found it kind of a mess. Everyone talks about the deep themes, but for me, the confusing plot and the way Shinji acts just made it hard to enjoy. Has anyone else felt let down by a super famous show everyone else loves?

TIL how much time we lose waiting for email answers

I emailed a store about a return question four weeks ago. They just got back to me yesterday with a vague response. I checked my inbox every single day, feeling more annoyed each time. It made me think about all the hours spent just waiting for things. Why does something so simple take so long these days? Has anyone else gone through this with customer service? What do you do when replies take forever?

Clay soil broke my hand digging habit for good

I used to swear by manual post hole diggers. Thought they kept costs low. Took a fence job on pure clay last fall. Each hole felt like digging through cement. My crew was dragging by noon. We finished two days behind schedule. I rented a power auger for the next project. Cut our digging time by seventy percent. Never looking back.
