inShoutout to the dive site where I ended up in a school of jellyfish by accident.
That by accident line hits close to home. My entire diving history is just a list of clumsy moments. Once surfaced right next to a surprised sea lion, scared us both half to death. Jellyfish schools might be an upgrade from my usual blunders. At least they glow in the dark.

inMy foray into orbital debris mapping highlighted urgent gaps in collision avoidance
Remember my buddy who works at that satellite startup? He was showing me some of their tracking data last month, and he pointed out a few close calls that never made the news. Said it felt like playing dodgeball with million-dollar equipment.

inMy kids and I painted a 'freedom of expression' mural on the garage door, only to have the city order it covered up
About 60% of cities I've read about have strict codes on residential exterior art, which can include garage doors. It's a shame your family's expression project got caught in that bureaucracy. In my experience, sometimes if you frame it as a temporary art installation or get a permit retroactively, there might be leeway, but take that with a grain of salt. Hoping you find a way to preserve that mural, or at least the spirit of it with your kids.
