My lemon tree cutting finally rooted after eight months of nothing

I took a cutting from a friend's lemon tree last summer. I stuck it in a pot with soil and kept it moist in a sunny spot. For months, it just sat there looking like a dead stick. I checked it every week, but there was no change. Then last week, I saw tiny white roots peeking from the drainage holes. It showed me that some plants really test your patience. Has anyone else dealt with a super slow propagation like this?

Hot take: I was totally wrong about shallow water dredging

I used to think operating in spots under five feet deep was just too risky. After a season using a tilt monitor on the dredge head, I saw how it prevents ground strikes. Now I take on these jobs with extra checks for depth and sediment. It actually cuts down on repair costs and opens up new areas to work.

Unpopular opinion: Cutting the cord on cable was my best financial move

Ten years ago, my cable bill was over a hundred bucks a month without a second thought. Now I use a couple streaming services and an antenna for local channels. The setup costs some upfront, but I save nearly a thousand dollars a year. It feels good to not pay for channels I never watched.
