inHad a job in a 1920s building downtown where the governor weights were stuck in a brick shaft wall.
Our 1980s retrofit hid it too, like ryang65 said.

inA simple chalk line trick saved my bacon on a tricky lift yesterday.
Have you ever had a spotter's hands blend into the background from up high? That chalk line is a fixed, clear target. An inch on a tight lift is the difference between a smooth day and a costly re-rig.

inMy social battery used to drain after 2 hours at any party, no matter what.
But what if the battery idea helps some people? For me it's not about fixing a flaw, it's just a handy way to describe needing a break.

Nice! I switched to a router with a pattern bit and it was a total game changer for me too.

inA customer at the shop argued that a $20 chain checker is a waste of money
It's the same with tire pressure gauges or torque wrenches... people try to save a few bucks and end up costing themselves way more. That cheap tool becomes the most expensive part when it leads to a bigger mistake. We see it everywhere now, trying to eyeball stuff that really needs a simple, clear measurement. Just makes you wonder why we fight the small, smart buys that prevent the big, dumb costs.
