inSerious question, has anyone else had a customer's vintage Campagnolo derailleur spring snap mid-adjustment?
Ngl that kind of hands-on fix is getting rarer. It reminds me how everything now is just a swap-out part, even for simple stuff. There's a real skill in actually making the thing work again yourself. Feels like we're losing that patience for repair.

inI always thought you couldn't put a wet batter in an air fryer, but a cooking blog post from 'The Kitchn' proved me wrong.
Actually, I've put wet batter in my waffle maker before and it worked fine. You just have to be careful not to overfill it. The key is using a thick batter so it doesn't run out the sides before it starts to cook.

inShowerthought: My homemade kombucha scared my book club
My friend brought a jar of her beet kvass to a potluck once. The lid wasn't on tight for the car ride. It popped off in her bag and dyed everything, including her library book, a violent pink. The book club spent twenty minutes just staring at the stained pages. Her fermented drink definitely upstaged the actual meeting topic.

inMy brother said something about the campus protests at his school that really stuck with me.

inJust saw a funny pic my brother posted get wiped from the web
It's like the internet hired a hall monitor who failed every class on context. My cousin got a week-long ban for posting a picture of her actual cat, Mittens, with the caption 'this little criminal stole my sandwich.' The bot read 'criminal' and shut it down. Meanwhile, actual trolls are having a field day in the comments. The system's so backwards it's almost funny.
