Saw a 'fully automated' coffee shop in Seattle and it made me question the whole trend

The place had no staff, just machines and a QR code to order. It felt efficient but also completely dead, like a vending machine with chairs. Has anyone actually built a good team culture in a business that runs on this model?

Just finished my 100th repair job and the number shocked me

I was cleaning up the workshop last night and counted all my repair tickets from this year. Hit exactly 100. That's 100 books people brought in because they were falling apart or damaged. It made me realize how much sentimental value is tied to physical books. A lady cried last week when I fixed her great-grandmother's cookbook. The spine was gone and the pages were loose. Are you guys seeing more repair work too, or is it just me?

My buddy in Galveston said 'a good tender is worth more than a perfect dive plan' and it stuck with me.

He argued that surface support is the real key to safety, not just the diver's skill. Has anyone else had a job where the tender made or broke the whole operation?

I was wrong about AI tutors after seeing one help my neighbor's kid

I always thought AI learning tools were just a trend. But I saw one at the community center helping my neighbor's son with homework. The AI explained things in a way that made sense to him. His confidence GREW right before my eyes. Now I believe these tools can make a big difference.

My son's countertop pick brought us all together

After months of debate, my wife and I finally agreed on the kitchen layout with our builder. Our teenage son even helped pick out the countertop material, which felt like a big win. Now everyone is excited to see it come together.

Unpopular opinion: Ignoring the plan saved a wall from cracking
