Vent: I spent a whole morning cleaning a fan that wasn't even plugged in

A whole week on sensors with a blocked air filter. That's brutal. I can't believe the mouse nest got that bad without you noticing. Makes you feel kind of dumb for missing the obvious fix. Always check the cheap and easy stuff first, right? Lesson learned the hard way.

Watching my cousin thrive without a strict plan changed my mind.

Wait, did you mean to tag @caleba45? I think you got the username a little wrong. But yeah, that teacher's take makes total sense. It's like trying to run a machine non-stop without a break, it just overheats and stops working. Forcing a kid to stick to a plan that doesn't fit them is gonna waste all their energy on just getting through the day. Saving that energy for connecting with people is way more important than checking off boxes on some schedule.

Chatting with a friend from Singapore about their internet filters

Yeah, that bit about the factory leak not making local news hits home. I remember reading about a big mining spill in Brazil a few years back. The international environmental blogs were all over it, but the major news channels in the country barely mentioned it for days. It was all about a political scandal instead. Makes you wonder what gets pushed aside on purpose.

Showerthought: I had a whole week where every design I sketched just felt wrong

Ever read that thing about how your brain solves problems better when you're not trying so hard? @singh.uma's friend with the coffee spill is a perfect example. What were you watching when you had your breakthrough?

Update: Tried navigating without tech last weekend

Last summer my buddy and I got totally lost on a paper map trail near Lake Tahoe. Ended up at this old fire watch tower that wasn't even on any app. The view was insane, and we ate lunch up there for an hour. That's the stuff you remember forever, not just hitting some GPS point. Totally get what you and @wesley139 mean about those surprise finds.
